Clergy and Staff
Gawain F. de Leeuw arrived at Holy Trinity in September 2021 after more than 20 years in White Plains, NY. He has been active harnessing Benedictine spirituality to build healing communities for social renewal. He has served on the national board of Planned Parenthood, the Westchester Housing Action Council, and has been active in interfaith and public issues for decades. He is the author of The Body of Christ in a Market Economy (Lang, 2019). He is a life professed member of the Order of the Ascension, a dispersed Benedictine community with a charism of building healthy congregations. He has degrees from Oberlin, the University of Chicago and Bexley-Seabury Seminary, with further education with the Tavistock Institute, National Training Laboratory, and the Center for Emotional Intelligence.
He makes a spicy vindaloo and can help you find an excellent wine under $15. He has preformed stand-up and competed in weightlifting competitions. He cheers for Tottenham and the Bills, and any baseball team born in NYC.
